Venice

I wanted to travel to Venice and its nearby island and try to ride in a gondola. When I had a chance to visit Europe, I never missed the opportunity to go to this beautiful city.  And mind you, I never go wrong with my decision to come and enjoy the city.

The Piazza San Marco and of course the San Mark’s Square is a must see, St Mark’s Basilica, the Campanille, Musei San Marco and Doge Palace are all adjacent. Take a lot of pictures, it is all instagramable  worthy.

Venice is the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto Region.  Composed of more than 100 small islands in Venetian lagoon in the Adriatic Sea.  It has no roads for vehicles but strolling by feet or through canals.

It is situated across a group of 118 small islands that separated by canals and linked by bridges.  One of the famous bridge is the Rialto Bridge.  It is the oldest bridge across the canal and was the dividing line for the districts of San Marco and San Polo.

Because I can’t get enough of this place.  I will be back sometime next month to explore this unique place and its nearby island like Murano and Burano.  I’ll keep you update.  But for the meantime, I just love to scan pictures of my May 2017 trip.
