4th day in Taipei

It was a tiring and long day for us yesterday. So we make it slow today and started our day late. We took time eating our breakfast as slow as 1 hour, lol. We started with our DIY tour around 10 in the morning. It was a lazy day because it is raining (in summer) but the wind is cold. We made sure we can commute MRT as locals do. No to taxis!

We first went to the most well known temple in Taipei, the Mengjia Longshan Temple in Wunsha District. Longshan Temple is one of largest and oldest temples in Taiwan. Entrance is free, but donations to maintain the upkeep of the temple are accepted.

We headed to Taipei 101 before 12 noon so we can stroll around and be early before our 2 o’clock in the afternoon schedule at Starbucks.

Yes, Reservation at Starbucks. The only Starbucks where you can make reservation at least a day before and the highest in the world. Better view of cityscape even you are not at the 89th floor Indoor Observatory. A maximum stay of 1.5 hours and need to spend at least NT$200 or more each person.

Since the rain stops. We took chance to ride again the MRT to Elephant Mountain or 象山 Xiangshan. Not far from the station is park and playground and need to walk about 10 to 15 minutes to the stairs leading to the top of the mountain.

Yay, I lost count for how many steps, all I know is there are lots of stairs! But surely, it is very rewarding once you reach the peak.
